I recently installed EQ7 on my laptop... about a month has gone by... this software is so totally different than what I expected! It has taken me a bit of concentration to get from start to finish on a quilt design - and this is a very simple little wall hanging - but here it is! If you are interested in a class on this block, let me know!

The CanCan Girls finale

Here it is at last - the grand finale of the CanCan Girls - the quilting is done, the binding is finished, and it is ready to hang with all it's petticoats a fluttering. Hope you like it.
I did a little research into the wiry dark character pictured here.... and HE was also a dancer at the Moulin Rouge - a contortionist who also performed for the amusement of the crowds.
and here is the full wall hanging:
So, I'll be moving on to my next project once I finish the sleeve and label.
I really enjoyed this quilting experience - although I probably would not have made this quilt at all without the quilt challenge issued by Pat Sloan - Black and White and Yellow in Paris.
This may start a trend for me, combining images from old posters and turning them into quilts - of all the quilts I've made, the ones I've enjoyed the most were small wall hangings that I designed myself. Although I am also 'inspired' by short deadlines!
