long time between posts - sew sorry!

Hello again,

Sorry to have been away for so long - no excuses, just life and taxes getting in the way of my fun!

Spring has finally sprung into an abundance of weeds and other flowers - the tulips were so beautiful this year -

...and then we had a really nasty cold hard rain, and now they are all bare stems.....

The daffodils suffered a similar fate before I could get a picture.  Maybe next year!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day - totally spoiled and pampered.

I've been doing a little sewing and quilting, but nothing quite ready for exposure just yet!

I did say I would post more pics of the Cincinnati quilt show, so here's what I have - keep in mind that each of these is a small section of the show - these pics were taken from the second story walkway.

Special exhibits in the far left corner... Quilts with Words, Canadian quilts, and quilters photography

vendors in foreground also had wonderful quilts on display!

notice the 'rest area' on the right side?  lots of tired feet!

rows 400, 500 and 600 - do you see Pat Sloan?  She's in Row 400 on the end!
The quilts lined the walls to the left of the aisles above, and further to the right---- too far away to show up in the photos, but lots of them, including Baltimore style, Susan Shie, SAQA exhibit, and lots more.....

LOTS of shopping opportunities, too!

see those stencils on the lower left?  they double as silk screens!  awesome!

the middle aisle, right side... check out those handbags!

the other end of aisles 400, 500, 600, etc.

center aisle - 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, gasp!

some of the vendor booths were really crowded....

this vendor is selling heirloom sewing/embroidery patterns that make everything "in the hoop"!! fascinating!

Triptych made for Fiber Art Traders swap - mine is in the middle!
...on the left is by Sandra Smith and on the right is by Sharon Wildwind
I've been celebrating the Artist in Me with a little fabric dyeing, silk painting, and watercolor dabbling - but I really must get to finishing something with all my artsy goodies!

  2. TheaM - Thank you for your encouraging words! It really helps to know that I'm not along in thinking that AB is a little wacky sometimes. Looks like you had a great time at that quilt show! :) Take care!
